Welcome to my Website, my name is Walls.  I am an ex-professional, eclectic collector and now (and for the last five years!), a loving stay-at-home-dad to three little critters.

 

Its hard work being at home with the kids and I Love Collectables was set up as an outlet for my life-long passion for collecting weird and wonderful things and to keep me from losing my mind (did I mention it was not easy?).  This website is also a way for me to grow a business that I love, and whilst at home, that gives me the flexibility I need. I Love Collectables has been on-line since 2009 and is based in the London/Surrey area. 

This website aims to provide collectors with rare, used and vintage collectables in one easy place.  A site dedicated to collecting and collectables.  I have been a collector since I was a young boy (that’s over 30 years!) and my interest has grown from “Matchbox” cars and world notes and coins, to everything with history, character and charm. Over the years I have developed a good eye and sense of what people like and find interesting.  I love collectables and collecting (hence the name of this website!!) and I set up this website to showcase an ever-growing selection of interesting objects to the wider world.

   

Whether you love “collectables” or “collectibles”, I am sure you will be able to further feed your passion by visiting my website and either using it to buy, sell or swap your favourite collectables. You can list your collectables for sale or for swaps by clicking here!

The existing categories are based on my own personal interests and are not fixed.  I Love Collectables aims to grow organically and seeks to cater for the collector of practically anything!  They have changed a few times already!

If you collect it, I may either have it or I could help you find it, so please do not hesitate to ask about particular things you are looking for – I may have it although its not listed (I am a collector after all!).

 

  If mistakes do occur, then you absolutely have the right to return your item – I offer a 14 day No Quibble Returns Guarantee, as I think the standard 7 days that most places offer is way too short to sort things out and this does not affect any statutory rights.  Click HERE for my delivery and returns information.   I am an eclectic collector and vintage addict.  I don’t bulk buy, and this is not a multinational or global company.  I Love Collectables consists of one man with a passion on a mission.  What I have are single pieces (unless I am lucky enough to find more than one) that I have gathered in my forage for collectables! As an internet buyer myself, I have designed this site with the visitor in mind (and feedback back is the key to this!).  So, I believe in making your browsing and buying experience as simple as possible. There are no complex registration forms to fill in before browsing or buying (unless you voluntarily sign-up to my newsletter) or any user names and passwords to create and remember. I just hate them, don’t you?

Haggle Fridays Every Friday!

 

I love a bargain.  I also love to have a bit of friendly banter and a good haggle on occasion.  That’s why I have introduced a unique and on-going promotion (for want of a better word), where you can negotiate or haggle live every Friday!  Just click on the “chat live” link at the top of each page to haggle away on Haggle Fridays!   How much can you get off your favourite collectables?

Purchases on my website are not made in cash or cheque.  To make the transaction safe and easy, I Love Collectables uses PayPal and now Google Checkout (New). This means you can you use your debit or credit card to make one-off or repeat payments instantly, even if your not registered as a regular PayPal user!

NB The Google Checkout payment gateway has been temporarily removed as it has not been working properly and customers have complained that it has not been connecting to Google at Checkout.  I am investigating this with Google and this payment gateway will be re-intergrated as soon as possible.

Being PayPal Verified means that I am, who I say I am and that PayPal have security verified my identity.  As all transactions are made exclusively through PayPal, I Love Collectables NEVER EVER holds or stores your credit or debit card details EVER!

I Love Collectables is also accepting Google Checkout, you have an even greater choice of payment options and like PayPal, Google makes it very simple and secure when you make your purchases on line.  Just click the Google Checkout icon on any page and you can see my merchant details.

If you wish or prefer to pay by POSTAL ORDER, that’s fine with me, just let me know by email or phone and I will forward you my details.  Once the postal order is cleared, your item will be processed straight away.

SSL Certificates in a Nutshell

As you have probably noticed, some web browsers will show that there is “no SSL Certificate provided by this site” or that a site “does not supply identity information“. 

SSL means Secure Sockets Layer and in a nutshell, it is an important protocol used by most e-commerce and commercial websites to maintain your online safety and security when entering and processing your credit card details whilst you shop online or when using passwords or other sensitive information over the web. 

This alert message appears on most websites and is usually because there is no need for SSL Certification on that particular page or website.  Certification is only required and strongly advised when your personal information is entered, stored or processed directly on a website. 

At I Love Collectables, there are no passwords to enter and ALL your transactions are completed on PayPal’s own secure servers where the latest SSL technology is used and so there is no need for SSL Certification on this website at all.  

In other words, you can shop here with confidence!

Of course if payment methods do change in the future, an SSL Certificate will be in place to ensure customer security on my site. 

 

Wish-Lists and Free Item Tracking Service. I have spent the last 30 years collecting and helping friends and family source pieces of furniture and vintage items of all-sorts.  I have been able to source props for a movie and help a number of collectors find their missing piece or must-have bits. I am an avid collector and an insatiable hunter and gatherer of vintage goodies.  If you can’t see it on the website, I may still have it and its just not been listed yet! (It will take years, believe me!) If I don’t have your item, I may be able to source your missing piece!  99.9% of the time for free (sometimes sources are abroad)!
