    Vintage & Rare Art Deco c.1933 Hand-Painted Clarice Cliff “Bizarre” Liberty Banded Conical Coffee Can – 0000391

    This splendid Clarice Cliff “Bizarre” art deco conical coffee can is beautifully and skilfully hand-painted in the rare “Liberty” banded pattern of black, red, orange and yellow bands on a honey-coloured glaze.  Dating circa 1928 to 1933 and a classic design made at the A.J. Wilkinson potteries.  The colours are bright and this lovely coffee can is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or any restoration work. There is some very minor firing faults and tiny flecks of black missing around the rim.  Clearly marked underneath with all the important “Bizarre” and “Clarice Cliff, Wilkinsons” backstamps. Please see photos for close up detail.  Measures approximately 5.5cm high.

    This fantastic and highly collectable hand painted art deco cup is from the Gray’s Pottery Studios of Hanley.  Designed and may have even been painted by the famous and highly sought after Susie Cooper, who was a painter and designer for A E. Gray’s between 1923 and 1929 when she left and set up her own well-known pottery design studios.
    The rare piece of deco pottery was made circa 1928 and is in good condition for an 80 year old cup. It does have a very small fine crack visible from the inside (see photo).  It has the “Hand-Painted – Gray’s Pottery, Hanley, England” back-stamp with pattern number 7960 – which is the highly sought after and unofficially named “Moon & Mountains” design.
    A rare and highly collectable piece of art deco pottery designed by one of the most sought after pottery artist and designer of the 20th Century.

    This risque and original concert poster has been perfectly preserved behind glass.  This Direct Productions Inc production was for a concert by BB King, Elvin Bishop Group, Big Brother and the Holding Company with Nick Graventes at the Selland Arena Fresno Convention Center circa 1971.

    Signed in pencil at the bottom by the artist himself: Randy Tuten.

    Mr Tuten is responsible for much album and poster artwork from the 1960′s to the present day and his work includes BB King and Led Zeppelin.

    A truly fab collectable.

    Will be posted out of the frame to save on weight and packaging but frame can be included if you request.

    Art Deco 1920′s to 1930′s “Liberty” Pattern Clarice Cliff “Bizarre” Odilon Shaped Sugar Bowl with Lid – Newport Pottery – 0000426

    This splendid Clarice Cliff “Bizarre” art deco conical “Odilon” shape sugar bowl with the often lost or broken lid, is beautifully and skilfully hand-painted in the rare “Liberty” banded pattern of brown, beige and orange shaded bands on a honey-coloured glaze.  Dating circa 1928 to 1933 and a classic design made at both the Wilkinsons and Newport potteries.  The colours are bright and this gorgeous sugar bowl is in very good condition for its age with no chips or any restoration work. There is tight hairline from the rim down and some very minor firing faults and tiny flecks of paint missing around the rim.  There is also some underglaze discolouration to a couple of parts of the glaze but these do not detract from the overall beauty of this piece.  Clearly marked underneath with all the important “Bizarre” and “Clarice Cliff, Newport Pottery” backstamps. Please see photos for close up detail.  Measures approximately 9cm high to finial and 14.5cm wide (from the edge of the handles).

    This lovely large Art Deco Clarice Cliff, Newport Pottery salad or fruit bowl is in the “Chestnut” pattern with a raised relief moulding. Made circa 1937, this lovely bowl is finished in lovely warm autumnal colours.

    Overall, this bowl is in excellent condition for its age with no crazing, no chips, no cracks or restoration. The hand painted relief does have some paint loss and internally there are some scratch marks which look to be easily removable with care.

    This large bowl measures approximately 22.5cm in diameter by 10cm in height.

    A lovely 1930′s piece of Clarice Cliff for the collector or for daily use for displaying your 5-a-days!

    This gorgeous and quite rare hand-painted Clarice Cliff Wilkinsons Ltd salad or fruit bowl was made circa 1936.

    Part of the “The Biarritz Royal Staffordshire” range and with a timeless and distinct square design, this piece is in excellent condition with no cracks or restoration work.  It does however have a number of marks which look like factory faults and a small rubbing on one corner.  Please see photos.  Measures 24cm x 24cm x 7cm approximately.

    Clearly marked on the underside with “The Biarritz” and with the Clarice Cliff signature, this is a must for any art deco or Clarice Cliff collector!

    This lovely and quite rare (I have been unable to find another one like it) biscuit barrel is part of the highly sought-after hand-painted “Bizarre” range by Clarice Cliff.

    Made in the early 1930′s and with its vibrantly coloured and gorgeously hand-painted and moulded floral handle-ends, this fabulous biscuit barrel is typical of its period.

    This very collectable biscuit barrel is in overall good condition for its age with bright colours, minimal crazing and no restoration work.

    There is however some damage, with a chip to the rim and two hairlines (one small and the other runs from the rim down). The lid and handle are missing (which is not uncommon and quite possibly replaceable) and there is some minor paint-loss here and there – Please see photos.

    Clearly marked underneath with “Hand-Painted Bizarre by Clarice Cliff”, “Newport Pottery England” backstamps, this biscuit barrel measures approximately 10.5cm high by 16cm handle tip to handle tip. This would make a great piece for display but not for daily use.

    A rare piece of “Bizarre” that would be a great addition to any rare or Art Deco Clarice Cliff collection.

    A classic and very collectable design by Clarice Cliff, the Crocus pattern is one of the most recognisable and desirable designs. Introduced circa 1928, this vibrantly hand-painted designed has been copied, forged and reproduced by many other designers over the last 80 years. This plate is however, a original from 1933 with the four identifying backstamps: “Crocus” – “Bizarre” by Clarice Cliff, Royal Staffordshire, “Honey-Glaze” and the impressed date mark of “33″ for 1933.

    This gorgeous 17cm (approx.) side plate is hard to find and is part of the Tea for Two Crocus trio. Overall the condition is excellent with no chips, cracks or restoration work. The colours are bright and clear. There are some scratches to the brown centre and minimal flecks missing on the crocuses.

    A superb Art Deco stand-alone piece or addition to your Clarice Cliff collection! Lovely.
