Vintage 1920’s -1930’s Hand-Painted Porcelain German “Singing Boy” Eggcup – 0000521
Description
This fabulous German made hand-painted “Singing Boy” eggcup was made circa the 1920’s or 1930’s. Made from a translucent porcelain and decorated in a colourful glaze.
Very similar to an eggcup design by the German designer Goebel, this eggcup represents a boy or man singing. A very distinct design with great features in the moulding and hand-painted colouring, sticking out ears, bowtie and round 1920’s glasses.
With no markings on the underside, this very collectable and rare eggcup is free from any chips or restoration, but does have three (3) old hairline cracks at the back of the head (Please see photos). More visible from the inside, this damage does not affect the overall look of the eggcup and it displays beautifully.
