Vintage 1920’s-1940’s Hand-Painted Japanese (Foreign) Lusterware Cat Eggcup – 0000510
Description
This sweet lusterware eggcup is in the form of a cat’s head. Marked “Made in Foreign”, this eggcup is very characteristic of Japanese eggcups made during this period.
A fair bit of iridescent lustre has faded and some of the hand-painted colouring has faded too, but the eggcup is in overall very good condition for its age with gorgeous piercing green eyes and painted whiskers. Free from any chips and cracks and there has been no restoration work.
A nice vintage eggcup that would make a great addition to any eggcup collection.
