This Bank of England £5 note issued between 1966 and 1970 when J. S. FForde was the Chief Cashier for the Bank of England. The history of this series of £5 note is interesting as it was part of the series of notes that where the first to depict a reigning monarch, namely HRH Queen Elizabeth II.
The note is issue number Y62 347123 and is offered is a circulated note but one in good crisp condition. The note is marked by a stain to the top and an indistinguishable scribble to the left side on the back (see photos).
A great example of a historical note for any vintage note collector!
