  • 1937 Coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth at Westminster Abbey Commemorative Medallions – 0000468

1937 Coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth at Westminster Abbey Commemorative Medallions – 0000468

A great piece for the collector and quite rare, this pair of commemorative medallions commemorate the coronation of King George VI. King George, (who was previously known as Albert) became king after his elder brother the Edward VIII abdicated after a very short period on the throne, to marry the socialite Wallis Simpson. King George VI has been recently (in 2010) been portrayed as the stuttering king in the awarding winning film “The King’s Speech”.

This very collectable pair of medallions are made of a soft white metal. On one side, both King George VI and Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother are in portrayed in profile and on the reverse, the words “To commemorate the Coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth at Westminster Abbey, 1937”. The words “British Made” are in small script at the top.

In good condition with some dings to the edges, these are a lovely set of collectable medallions and memorabilia for King George VI who was King of the United Kingdom and the Dominions of the British Commonwealth from 1936 to 1952.

  • Antique 130 Year Old Moroccan Solid Bronze Coin – 4 Falus – 1289 A.H. / 1872 A.D.– 0000485

    Antique 130 Year Old Moroccan Solid Bronze Coin – 4 Falus – 1289 A.H. / 1872 A.D.– 0000485

Another fantastic antique solid bronze coin that is over 130 years old and is in very good condition! Weighing approximately 11.0g (making this a genuine bronze minted coin and not a later contemporary forgery) with the “Seal of Suyalman” (similar to the star of David) and the Islamic calendar date of 1289 on the reverse.  The Islamic calendar is approximately 620 years behind the Christian or Roman calendar and thus dates this coin to the reign of Sidi Mohammed IV, AH1276-1290 (1859-73).

Measures approximately 28mm in diameter and 1mm in depth.

In very good/fine condition with clear markings and a very collectable coin, found in museums and serious private collections!

  • Queen Victoria – Penny Red – Rose Red – circa 1857-1864 – 0000027

    Queen Victoria – Penny Red – Rose Red – circa 1857-1864 – 0000027

You have heard of the Penny Black right?  This is the Penny Red, not as rare or valuable but as a stamp collector you will know that this is a very desirable and collectable stamp dating circa 1857-1864.
The condition is good but there is a tiny and fine tear to the left edge (not visible) and the tip of the top right corner is torn.  Despite this minor damage the stamp is very collectable and is nearly 130 years old! – please take a look at the photo and if you require further information please contact me.
