Vintage Art Deco 1930′s / 1940′s Crown Devon Cottage Beehive Honey Pot/Jar with Lid – 0000474

I love collecting honey pots. The variations and styles are endless and this gorgeous Art Deco Crown Devon cottage beehive honey pot or jar is beautifully moulded and hand-painted and typical of the period.

Made circa the late 1930′s to 1940′s and fully backstamped “Crown Devon – Made in England” and the impressed model number “509S”. Measures approximately 10cm high by 8.5cm wide.

Overall, this fabulous honey pot is in very good condition for its age and comes with its original lid (which is often broken or badly damaged). This pot is free from any chips or cracks but there is some minor age-related crazing, staining and rubbing in areas (such as the finial and inside) and the wing of the moulded bee may have been repaired at some point (there is a line that goes round the outer wing, but you would never notice at all).

A beautiful and very collectable piece of Art Deco Crown Devon pottery.

  • Vintage Art Deco Circa 1930-1965 – Crown Devon Fielding’s England – Triangular Tomatoes Pin Dish – 0000504

Vintage Art Deco Circa 1930-1965 – Crown Devon Fielding’s England – Triangular Tomatoes Pin Dish – 0000504

This lovely art deco pin dish was made by the very collectable Crown Devon Fielding’s works circa the 1930’s.

In a vibrant green glaze with hand-painted tomatoes, this triangular pin dish is lovely to display or practical for every day use in your retro kitchen or on your eclectic dressing table.

This sweet dish measures approximately 17.cm long by 10.5cm wide and is in very good condition for its age with no chips, cracks or restoration.  There is some crazing, one line of which looks like a hairline but does not affect the sound of the dish when struck.  There is some rubbing and green loss to the edges but these look like factory flaws as opposed to damage.

Marked on the underside with the “Crown Devon Fielding’s England” mark which was used between 1930 and 1965 and an incised number which is not easily readable.

A nice collectable and usable piece of Crown Devon.
