This very cute vintage soft toy elephant or “Dumbo” character dates from between the 1930′s and 1950′s. I believe he is a Merrythought but I am not sure as there are no labels or tags.
Dumbo is in very good condition but does have some age related wear. He has been around long enough that the moths have had a piece of his hat and a tiny bit stitching underneath is beginning to unravel (easily repaired).
He is stuffed with a hard type stuffing and finished in a velvety or corduroy material and I haven’t seen one like him!
He measures a cute 15cm tall (to top of his hat)
