Vintage 1930′s/1940′s Japanese Porcelain Puppy Ashtray – 0000210

This incredibly cute and realistic vintage Japanese puppy porcelain ashtray was made circa 1930′s or 1940′s.

Very delicate and made from a lovely translucent porcelain, this puppy is free from cracks, chips or restoration. There is age related ware to the hand painted base but the puppy is perfect.

Marked “Made in Japan” in red on the base, this is a very cute art deco piece that is perfect for presentation.

This adorable puppy ashtray measures 6.5cm high by 9cm wide approximately.

A must for the deco enthusiast or collector of early Japanese porcelain and smoking memorabilia.

Vintage Japanese Lustre Painted “Noah’s Ark” Egg Cup (White) – 0000367

This vintage and very collectable “Noah’s Ark” egg cup is painted in a lovely iridescent lustre finish.

Marked with an incised cross and three painted dots to the base, this egg cup is Japanese made and was featured in Millers Collectables Guide in 2009.

This lovely egg cup is in excellent condition and is totally free from any cracks, chips or any restoration work. There is some age related crazing which is commensurate with its age. Measures approximately 6.5cm high.

A great example of this rare and collectable egg cup that should in every vintage egg cup collection!

Kitsch – Porcelain Japanese Cigarette Holder – 1930′s to 1940′s – 0000026

Here is a unique and very kitsch porcelain cigarette holder/dispenser made circa the 1930′s/1940′s. I just love how the figure is a perfect little snapshot of the art deco period!

This cute piece is in good condition with a couple of tiny chips on the base (not really noticeable) and maybe a little fading to the glaze in some parts. This is a very interesting and unique piece of smoking history (now a fading and increasingly unpopular social habit).

Measuring approximately 10cm x 9cm x 12cm.Made in Japan, this very collectable piece is a great kitsch item and an essential for the tobacco and smoking paraphernalia collector or the collector of art deco Japanese porcelain.

Art Deco Circa 1920′s to 1930′s Japanese Hand-Painted Porcelain Half-Doll or Pin-Cushion

This sweet art deco period Japanese hand-painted half-doll or top of a pin cushion is beautifully made from a translucent porcelain, she is delicately hand decorated in blue and yellow with pink rosey cheeks. Dating from between the 1920′s and 1930′s, this doll measures a cute 6.5cm high approximately and is in excellent undamaged condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. There are a couple patches of very minor paint loss here and there but not bad for her age! Please see photos for detail. Marked “Japan” on the back.

Would be ideal for the art deco Japanese ceramics collector or the vintage doll or pin cushion collector. Could be restored.

Vintage Japanese 1920′s/1930′s Art Deco “Doggy” Ashtray & Cigarette Holder – 0000129

This vintage art deco Japanese “Doggy” ashtray and cigarette display/holder is made from porcelain and dates from circa the 1920′s. Marked “Foreign” and “Made in Japan” it is classic deco design and with its symmetry and angular dog and tray.

The tray is finished in a lustre glaze and has a iridescent finish.

Its in very good condition for its age but has some minor discolouration in the tray and a small bit of paint over repair on the ear (see photos for detail but looks old and not very obvious). The piece also has a couple of other imperfections that are from factory.

Measures 7 x 6 x 6 cm approx.

Vintage 1930′s Japanese Clown/Chick Rocking Egg Cup – 0000221

This cute and delicate translucent porcelain rocking clown/chick egg cup needs an avid collector to give it a loving home.

Although it is marked “Foreign” on the base, this egg cup was made in Japan circa the 1930′s and was identified and valued in the Millers Guide to Antiques and Collectables 2009.

In good used condition for its age, it does have wear to the hand-painted colouring and does sport a hairline crack of about 1 inch running from one of two chips on the rim. Still a solid and well made egg cup.

A super vintage Easter gift for the vintage egg cup or Japanese porcelain collector or lover of vintage kitchenalia.
