Art Deco 1930′s Shelley “Eve” Hand-Painted Floral Sunset Tea Cup & Saucer Duo – Pattern 2165 – 0000339

This splendid 1930′s art deco duo by Shelley is made from fine translucent porcelain and is designed with a lovely deco floral design and edged in green. This cup shape came after the “Vogue” or “Mode” design which was criticised for its impractical and non-traditional closed handled design. Now a style icon and very collectable, both the Vogue and Eve designs are the most sought after of Shelley’s early designs. Marked Shelley Reg No. 756533 and Pattern No. 2165 6.

In excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration (a couple of scratches to the design – please see photos). Just lovely

Art Deco Shelley England Vogue/Mode Reg. No. 756533 Teacup – 0000158

This vintage Shelley England Vogue/Mode porcelain cup is typical of the art deco period and dates circa 1932.

In a plain white, this timeless design is a design classic and very sought after by collectors worldwide. When first introduced, this design was criticised for being impractical and led to the later open-handled “Eve” design, so making the “Vogue” sets even more desirable and collectable today!

This cup is free chips or restoration work but does have a very fine hairline crack to one side measuring no more that a couple of centimetres (which could be bleached out) – please see photos.

A lovely piece, usually very expensive in mint condition. Would be fabulous on display and is always a talking point.

Vintage Art Deco 1925 – 1945 Shelley Square Cake Stand with Original Handle – 0000433

This beautiful art deco cake stand was made by the well-known and collected ceramics maker, Shelley and dates circa 1925 to 1945. Finished in lovely shades of green in hand-painted circles and complete with the original circular chrome handle.

Measuring approximately 20.5cm wide, this superb piece is free from any cracks or restoration, but for a couple of the tiniest of nibbles on the underside edge and one tiny scratch to the surface (hardly noticeable).

Overall, this is an excellent, practical and displayable piece for the Art Deco for the Shelley collector and is perfect for showing off your latest Nigella bites!

A superb piece of 20′s elegance and the now modern shabby chic!
