Vintage & Rare Art Deco 1933 Hand-Painted Clarice Cliff “Bizarre” Coral Firs Conical Coffee Cup – 0000361
Description
This splendid Clarice Cliff "Bizarre" art deco conical cup is beautifully and skilfully hand-painted in the highly sought after "Coral Firs" pattern. Dating circa 1933 and a classic design made at the Newport potteries. The colours are bright and the hand-painted pattern is in excellent displayable condition with no chips or any restoration work. There is however, a very tight and internally stained, hairline crack from the rim down about an inch. Clearly marked underneath with all the important stamps. See photos. Measures approximately 9cm in width at the rim of the cup.
A lovely collectable art deco cup for the Clarice Cliff collector that is rare in this form (I can't find another Coral Firs conical cup like it) and that would look perfect on display.
