This lovely vintage Gray’s Pottery hand-painted coffee pot is typical of the Art Deco era. Dating between 1931 and 1933 (due to the Hanley backstamp and the pattern number of A298), its in excellent condition, with no chips cracks or repairs, but for a couple of tiny paint scratches and unstained crazing on the inside). It actually looks unused!
Quite possibly influenced in design by the late and great Susie Cooper and painted by one of her apprentices at Gray’s only a couple of years after Susie Coopers departure from Gray’s.
Measures approximately 21cm high.
A very clean and very collectable example of early Art Deco Gray’s Pottery.
