What fabulous memories I have of this great 70’s TV show! I always wanted my own Eagle Transporter, but never seemed to get my hands on one. This fab die cast Eagle from Gerry Anderson’s “Space – 1999” is in very good condition for its age.
Made circa 1974 by Dinky Toys (359), this Eagle has play-wear and some paint-loss on one of the legs but is complete under working spring under carriage and pod with red plastic steps and decals. The release switch works and the rocket boosters retain 99.9% of the chrome details (often worn down to the red plastic).
Measures approximately 22cm long.
This cool Eagle Transporter is rare toy that was only in production between 1974 and 1980, when Dinky-Meccano went into liquidation. A great nostalgic collectable that would make a superb addition to any vintage Dinky or original “Space – 1999” collection!
