There is some wear to the outer box in the form of creasing of the box and rubbing to the corners. One corner box flap is torn buy repairable. Please see photos.

  • Vintage 1950′s Geographia Ltd “Motor Chase Across London” Thrilling Map Game – 0000244

Vintage 1950′s Geographia Ltd “Motor Chase Across London” Thrilling Map Game – 0000244

This vintage “Motor Chase Across London” is a “Thrilling Map Game” from around the 1950′s.  Produced and published by “Geographia Ltd”, 167 Fleet Street, London.

Not complete as it is missing the actual board, but the box is a fabulous snapshot of motoring history.  The box contains the all important rules sheet, dice and incredibly cool metal cars (plus a couple more plastic ones – not part of the game I believe).  The blue car has been broken and repaired but is complete.

The box measures approximately 12.5cm x 12cm x 3.5cm and has some wear and fading (not as faded as pics)

A very nice piece of early educational gaming, ideal if you have the board or if like me, you love old games and history (and the fantastic illustrations on early games!).

  • Vintage and Rare 1920′s/1930′s Chad Valley “Across Africa with Livingstone” Game – 0000243

Vintage and Rare 1920′s/1930′s Chad Valley “Across Africa with Livingstone” Game – 0000243

This vintage Chad Valley “Across Africa with Livingstone” game is quite rare (in fact, I can’t seem to find much information about this game, except for a lovely person who contacted me from the USA to tell me that they played with this game in the 1930′s) dates from around the 1920′s to 1930′s.  Also featured on the V & A website tagged under race, geographical, natural history and black history.

Complete with board (which has some pen marks and some of the rules hand-written), three out of four original wooden counters and a few extra counters added.  The box is in great condition and has a fabulously exciting illustration of Livingstone being attacked by a lion with the “natives” approaching in the background!  The box contains the all important rules, guide, spinning wheel and counters.  The spinning wheel does have some damage to one of the pointers.

    The box measures approximately 10.5cm x 10.5cm x 1.5cm.   Board measures approximately 41cm by 41cm.

A very nice piece of early Chad Valley gaming, ideal if you love old games and history (and the fantastic illustrations on early games!).
