This vibrantly coloured and unusual pair of SylvaC posy or stem vases are in a funky retro drip glaze pattern. A quite rare, I believe, (as I have not seen this vibrant colour-way) and collectable pair of SylvaC.
With markings on the underside “SylvaC”, “Made in England” and the model number: “4329″.
Made somewhere between 1940 and 1982, but most likely between the 1940′s and 1970′s, due to their colour-way – I am unable to specify a precise date as information is sparse and when SylvaC went into liquidation in 1982, all files and documentation relating pattern numbers and styles were allegedly destroyed!
Being sold as a pair (at a reduced price) as they do display well together, but one vase has a chip to the rim that has been repaired since the picture was taken, and although not perfect, it displays a lot better. The other vase is perfect, with no damage to report. They both measure approximately 10.5cm high.
A nice retro pair of SylvaC vases for the collector or for display in your retro-modern home!
