Another fabulous find and definitely one for the vintage Emma Bridgewater collectors!
As one of the most collectable modern designers of pottery and homewares in recent modern times, this highly sought after designer was founded in 1985 in Stoke-on-Trent England by Emma Rice nee Bridgewater and Matthew Rice. The most famous and popular of their designs was the polka dot pattern seen on many wares and which has been copied over and over again since it inception by other designers. The Rose Chintz design is very rare with its gorgeous and vibrant hand applied spongeware flowers and thorny leaves and was produced circa mid 1980’s to the early 1990’s. A rare pattern and collectable because not many of them around on the open market
In absolutely excellent condition (mint) with no chips, cracks or restoration – In fact, it looks unused – another rarity.
The cup measures approximately 6cm tall and 7.5cm from rim to handle: the saucer measures approximately 12cm in diameter.
This beautiful rare rose patterned Emma Bridgewater duo would make a fabulous addition to any Emma Bridgewater or vintage kitchenalia collection!
