Welcome to the future of futures past! Before computers, laptops, ipads and even television, stereoscopic viewers have wowed and amazed generations as far back as the late 1800’s, with the first patented stereoscope invented by Sir Charles Wheatstone in 1838!
This is a Bakelite Model E Sawyers 3D View-Master made between 1955 and 1961, and is in very good to excellent condition. The only fixable thing to note is the opaque light screens need straightening, although this does not affect its performance at all, just aesthetic. This lovely 3D viewer comes with its original box, which is in great condition, and seven 3D Viewer reels:
1 x Rome II, Italy, (good condition)
1 x Wild Animals in Natural Habitats, Africa, (good condition)
1 x Paris, France, (some blistering to the card)
1 x London, England (some blistering to the card)
1 x Princess Margaret’s Wedding (3 reels). (good condition)
A great snapshot of history within the reels and a superb Art Deco stylised Bakelite 3D Viewer that can be used with all old and new 3D View-Master reels!
